After a month, the coriander and lime have tame down and sandalwood/cedar is more apparent. It does get get better over time
I unfortunately bought 2x of the Tam Dao thinking it would be a great alternative to the expensive Diptiqye perfume but the scent is kinda off and smells spicy but not in a good way. I do not recommend it for now until the seller can reformulate the perfume.
This inspired fragrance has overpowering lime and coriander notes. On paper, these notes mellow down and you can smell the sandalwood but on my skin, I mostly smell coriander and lime. Over time, these notes mellow down on my skin but I still hardly smell the sandalwood, which is the star note of Tam Dao. The smell of this fragrance reminds me of Vietnamese pho, not a Buddhist temple that I associate with the original Tam Dao. I really wish that this could have been a replacement for the overpriced Tam Dao but sadly, it was not.
